We challenged ourselves to make our dream ukulele real by mixing 2 different woods (flame javanese acacia and flame mango) on top back and sides of the body. Put the 30 pieces of javanese rosette. Adding flame acacia binding with rope purfling around. Also we put an ebony custom bridge. It is also featured rosewood stripes neck in the middle between maple which reinforce the neck better and aesthetically great.
The tenor is done. By the first strum we feel that our work is paid off. It is flawless! Both in sound and appearance. Our passion and excitement on the concept and plan made the build process way easier than usual. Yet it is not an easy job.
This whole process made us realize that we have to challenge ourselves in order to have perfect work. So if you want a perfect ukulele we believe you have to challenge yourself too. Not by building it, but by knowing what and how do you want. Will it be a travelled-anywhere soprano ukulele, big low end baritone, playable cutaway, could be anything based on the purposes.
